We LOVE SUMMER!
The new mini-van was essential. The double DVD players I purchased turned out to be only a singleton deal, but hey- one is better than none and the kids quickly adapted. I got to listen to them snicker to Tom & Jerry after a stop at the Tri-Cities Walmart. Funny how a $5 movie is more entertaining than some of the pricey "blockbusters." Go with the classics- that's what I say!
We were able to spend some time with my cousins' kids Moira and James and cousin-in-law Miriam and had fun at a waterpark and playground and farmers' market.
We also were able to meet up with my good friend and once-upon-a-time Salzburg Roomie Amy 'Stuy Stuy' Corcoran and HER sweet boys Connor and new darling baby Kellen. So fun and such a fast visit.
We took a trip to the Oregon Zoo where we made all kinds of new friends! Saw the baby elephant (who is one now and gained over 1,000 lbs in a year- YIKES!) and mommy's favorites- the rhinos.
Tyler's favorite was the penguins- which he watching swimming by like he was at a ping-pong match... back and forth. Back and forth!
Good times and good dinners and great company. The boys picked blackberries with Grammy
and then took nice bubbly baths in her 'coozy tub. It went too quickly and was oh so much fun!!
